1?

breakfast with "driver man"

Having a green straw in our cup has been a new favorite
There's not too much to tell about our day today.  It was pretty average.  We had planned for it to be "chill" which ended up meaning both DH and I were busy all morning and LO felt a little ignored.  DH vacuumed, scrubbed spots out of the carpet (his idea...nesting, you think?), and swept the floors.  I stripped diapers, made more cookies (long story, but the ones from last night were hockey pucks), cut LO's finger and toenails, griped at our baby bedding company, and checked in with Nanny K.  LO thoroughly enjoyed the second batch of cookie dough making and the nail grooming (because it's the only time he gets to watch You Tube videos...garbage trucks today).  By 11 we were all a little stir crazy though.  We made a quick trip out to the mall for lunch with plans for LO to expend some energy and me to get some walking in.  We ended up not doing much more than buying socks for DH and enjoying the nice weather outside. Not exactly what we had in mind for a chill morning, but it worked for us.

I am so grateful to have had time this week with my guys.  Time to get last minute things arranged and organized.  Time to enjoy each other.  Time to enjoy the "quietness of one (three)."  Each night for the last couple of weeks LO has uncovered my belly at bedtime, kissed it and told told baby brother to "stay in there."  Last night we started telling him he could come out.  Today LO seemed concerned that baby brother would "eat my(his) dessert."  Maybe because I told him the cookies are for baby brother's "Happy Birthday," but he can't eat them so LO has to.  I assured LO that Newbie is not a threat to any of his food.  By bedtime tonight, LO was ready to tell Newbie good night again.

"Good night baby brother, come out, we're ready!"
