Cruising
Your development never ceases to amaze me. Just when it seems you are coasting along with one skill set, you bust out a new move. Everyone is asking me now if you are walking yet. I tell them all the same thing. "Nope, he doesn't really seem that interested. He's great at crawling. We're ok if he takes his time to walk." For the last month or so, you've taken a couple of steps along the coffee table or in your "jail" but those required me to really entice you. You were quite content to carefully drop to your bottom, then crawl to the toy and stand up to get it. Suddenly, in the last three days, you've just started cruising along the coffee table without prompting and with ease. You are very steady on your feet. I asked your Dad today if you had secretly been practicing behind our backs. You look like you've been doing it for months. Just last week I had serious doubts that you would walk by your birthday. Now, it seems you just might do it if you are so inclined. Maybe that's what you're doing at nap time. You are rehearsing your first steps in your head instead of sleeping! Keep up the good work buddy, but maybe try rehearsing in your dreams!
