Thanks Aunt Cat!

My littlest sous chef finally got an apron!  Aunt Cat surprised us with it this past week.  It has LO's name in white script across the front.  Perhaps more importantly, it has pockets!  LO is very into those lately.  This morning our neighbors down the street gave us some fresh figs and okra.  They needed to be cooked today, so we got to work.  We roasted the okra with some fresh tomatoes and vidalia onion. Very simple and sooooo good!  Once we had those in the oven, we got to baking our fresh fig cake. 

LO gives it a "thumbs up!"

 LO sifted 2 cups of flour with the other dry ingredients all by himself and with minimal mess.  He also only asked for a taste half a dozen times which is a huge improvement.  That may be because he spent a good fifteen minutes scraping every last drop of lemon juice out of two lemon halves with his teeth.
