Public service

Apparently our local police have taken to sitting still about town rather than patrolling between calls in an effort to save gas.  One such civil servant passes the time in the air conditioned, internet-served office of a local public ball field and park.  More power to him, I say.  If he can't patrol and keep our area safer, he might was well be comfortable! It just so happened that he was there a week or so ago when DH came home from working all night and agreed to take LO to the park.  The officer offered to let LO wear his hat, check out his patrol car, and even turn on the sirens.  LO declined the sirens initially, but accidentally pushed that button anyway.  DH and LO returned home with quite a story and the following pics from DH's phone.  It was so thoughtful of this officer to take time to share with LO.  I think it really made his day.
