The touch, the feel, the taste(?) of cotton

Remember that cotton commercial from a few (ok, maybe 20) years back? It sounded like Aaron Neville, singing "the touch, the feel, the fabric of our lives." Maybe it was before your time. It was definitely before LO's time. Still, it seems that it might be his own personal anthem lately. This boy LOVES cotton. As he gets better at getting things to his mouth, it seems he'd prefer a little cotton to just about anything. At first it was easy to think he was hungry or just wanted to gnosh on things. Well I can assure you he isn't starving (just check out the picture progression on this blog!) as he goes to the cotton immediately after nursing. Maybe he IS into gnoshing. What baby isn't at this age? Over the last month as we've had Grams, DH, Gido and Toona (DH's parents) through the house. Each started out skeptical as I mentioned this boy's love for the fluffy white stuff. Each one concluded "he DOES love cotton" before their time here was over. Maybe these pics will give you some idea what we mean. The first is before he realized I was there...he was in cotton rapture. This went on for a good 10 minutes.

  1. Egyptian cotton, perhaps?

Hope you all enjoyed a few days of down time together. We tried to resist the urge to interrupt with a phone call.

Any chance we can Skype before Thursday so Lizard can see LO live?

    Happy New Year!!!

    Love,
    DB
