Monday Mom Moments

A parenting resource I came across said "tend to your baby's most urgent need first. If he is hungry, wet and tired, change, then feed then put down." No kidding, I thought. How about when you are changing his diaper and have diaper cream on your hand when he is at once threatening to pee all over and is gagging on 3 hour-old milk he's spit up. Oh yeah, and he's hungry. They don't talk about that in parenting books! We managed. No big deal really. Just funny how such resources state the obvious and skip the realistic.

Bonus Dad moment for the week:

DH was rocking LO while I got ready to feed him. We traded and DH stepped into the bathroom and started laughing. It seems LO tried to get a head start on nursing while DH had him and DH's shirt had the slobber to prove it!

  1. Ha! I like to say that we may have read the books...but the baby has NOT. ;)

  2. Just checking in and getting current on my favorite blog...really enjoyed the 2 month birthday video...very cute. Hope mom's first week back at work involved less anxiety than you thought it might...Also loved the blog entry about DH giving you a day off...as MasterCard might say "Priceless!". You both married very well...and what a blessing that will be to LO. Your love for each other is inspiring.

    Love,
    DB
