First day of camp at GSS

This fall LO will start pre-K at GSS and NB will go there three days a week for "school" himself.  NB has never been to school, but we've talked about it when we dropped LO off most days last year.  He's pretty excited about it, and LO is excited to have his little brother nearby (even if he doesn't get to see him).  In preparation for the big day, NB was given a blue backpack just like LO's for his birthday in April.  This morning I cut the tags off that backpack and loaded it with diapers, wipes, spare clothes and lunch.  NB was so excited to put it on and walk proudly into "camp" at their new school.

NB's backpack is almost a big as he is!

A surprise peak at the neighborhood garbage truck on our way in (top L corner)

NB did great at drop off; he found this school bus and played right away.

LO tried to pretend he was worried about staying, but the look on his face when he first saw his classroom suggested otherwise. It's set up like a child-sized home, lounge chairs, lamps, couch, etc.

NB's first school work.  It was "U" week, so they had a real unicycle in the room!
When we picked them up Nb was especially excited about his day.  I'm not sure exactly what he said, but there was a lot of talk of "outside" and a mention of a "teacher bear."  LO's teachers Ms. Tina and Ms Amy said he had a good day too.
